Cornwall College Bicton is seeking an ambitious, dynamic and experienced Curriculum Area Manager (CAM) to manage our ever-growing Foundation Learning and High Needs department.
In this role you will manage a team of Study Programme Managers (SPMs), Learning Coaches, Lecturers and support staff to ensure that annual key performance indicators are achieved consistently across the entire curriculum offer. You will also undertake quality assurance and improvement activities relating to teaching, learning and assessment, becoming part of the College’s central learning observation team.
Knowledge and understanding of learners with SEND including those with High Needs is essential. An Excellent understanding of the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework, SEND code of practice and the Equality Act 2010 is required.

Veterinary Nursing Training Officer – Location: Bicton College Campus - Salary: up to £29,402.10 per annum – Hours per week: 37 – Weeks per year: 52 – Closing Date: 19 April 2024 - Interveiws: 26 April 2024.
We are currently looking for Veterinary Nursing training officers to join an established team at our stunning Bicton college campus in East Devon. We are looking for candidates with a broad range of experience within the Vet Nursing industry and with hands on experience in supporting Vet Nurse students in practice. Being a registered Vet Nurse with a L3 or above in Vet Nursing qualifications is essential.
The Training Officer role is responsible for overseeing the effective delivery and assessment of learning in the workplace, through the work of Veterinary Nursing Training Practice staff and Clinical Supervisors.
Engagement of the Employer/Clinical Supervisor is a key aspect of the successful workplace learning programme, as is the close monitoring of Student Veterinary Nurse progress. The role has a large proportion of quality assurance to check accuracy and consistency of assessment decisions.

This is a new role within the group and the primary purpose is to maintain and support the estates new asset and infrastructure software which will then generate associated planned and reactive maintenance schedules and certification to meet statutory compliance
Applicants will be knowledgeable in the legal requirements around Facilities management and can demonstrate this through proven experience. They will be dealing with incoming reactive maintenance requests and prioritising task urgency and co ordinating the appropriate responses. Based at Duchy Stoke, we are looking for an experienced individual to join the team offering the level 1 Introduction to Outdoor Adventure, Sports, and Military and Protective Services. This qualification was introduced as an excellent foundation for our level 2 courses in Sport, Outdoor Adventure and Military and Protective Services. We are in a unique position with the River Tamar, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor on our doorstep and both the North and South Cornwall coasts 30 minutes away. In addition to leading the level 1 course the postholder might well be required to deliver on the Sport and Outdoor Adventure courses.
