Are you passionate about education and hands on learning? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Technician to join our catering department in St Austell and play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
In this vital role, you will help prepare lessons, maintain and clean practical equipment, and kitchen facilities as well as support students during practical sessions ensuring every learner has the best opportunity to succeed.
You will also support course promotion, manage social media, assist with open days, and help ensure smooth restaurant bookings.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years' experience in a catering or kitchen environment. Experience in teaching, learning, and assessment would be an asset. While holding a relevant teaching qualification is desirable, we welcome applications from those without it, as there may be an opportunity to gain this qualification while in post for the right candidate.

This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Outdoor Adventure Education Programme(s), ensuring learners have a positive, engaging experience that enables them to reach their full potential.
Working collaboratively with the Curriculum Area Manager (CAM), you will be accountable for the entire learner journey. From marketing and promotion to initial advice and guidance you will take sole responsibility for learner progression, careers advice, achievement tracking, destination recording, programme design, and maintaining consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
Our college boasts exceptional facilities, including an onsite lake, climbing tower, indoor bouldering wall, and a range of sports amenities. Situated in a unique outdoor setting, we have immediate access to Woodbury Common, Dartmoor, the River Exe, the River Dart, and miles of stunning coastline — making this an ideal environment for delivering high-quality outdoor education.
Applicants must hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification (such as a Cert Ed, PGCE, or DET). For the right candidate, this qualification can be undertaken through the college. A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths is also required.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the Outdoor Education sector, underpinned by relevant occupational experience. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating high-quality teaching materials, delivering engaging lessons, and implementing effective assessment strategies. You will monitor student progress, provide educational support, and ensure that the workshops and equipment are maintained to the highest safety standards. Additionally, you will promote the programme at marketing events and manage administrative tasks related to student records.

Based within our MIS Department we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Admissions Administrator to join our MIS Department at The Cornwall College Group.
This pivotal role will support both the Admissions team and wider Curriculum Areas. As the first point of contact for many prospective students, you will help ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process for both further and higher education applicants. You will be responsible for managing and processing applications from a variety of sources, maintaining accurate data, and providing exceptional support to applicants, parents, schools, and external agencies.
Key responsibilities include handling applications via UCAS and other platforms, checking eligibility and entry requirements, maintaining accurate records on MIS systems, and liaising with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. You will also support the scheduling of applicant interviews monitor data quality, assist with enrolment during peak periods, and help with communications and publicity efforts.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience, alongside strong IT skills and GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grades A*-C/9-4.
They will have a background in similar administrative roles, with proven experience in data entry, working to deadlines, and using the full suite of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with external procedures and regulations is also essential.
Ideally, candidates will bring knowledge of databases and an understanding of the Education sectors, preferably gained from working in a large organisation. Strong organisational and time management skills are also vital, as is the ability to analyse information quickly, work accurately, and remain compliant.
The role requires someone who can effectively manage their workload under pressure, communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, and adapt to change. A high standard of customer service, confidentiality, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach are key to success in this role.
This role is on a Part-time basis; 22 hours per week. Monday 08:30 to 17:00, Wednesday 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday 08:30 to 16:30.
