We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) to contribute to the delivery of our Additional Learning Support (ALS) provision for learners who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, working within all departments of the college.
The purpose of the role is to support individual or small groups of learners in the achievement of their learning goals and the development of independent life and employability skills. A Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) may also support learners with communication, behaviour, emotional difficulties and social anxiety. LSPs will aim to work with learners to develop independent study skills and strategies to assist in their own learning.
The working pattern for this role will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am – 4.30pm, although this is subject to review on a termly and annual basis as a part of our Graduated Response to SEN Support. We will consider part time applicants.

Based at our wonderful campus Duchy Stoke Climsland College, we are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and self-motivated candidate to provide hands-on practical support and technical services to a Land and Environment curriculum area.
The successful applicant must enjoy helping young people achieve their full potential, have plenty of hands on agricultural industry knowledge and experience of using a range of land-based machinery from large agricultural tractors through to chainsaws and brush cutters. Supporting with the delivery of estate skills (fencing/walling etc) and experience of working with livestock from dairy through to sheep.
You will work closely with teachers from the departments to ensure that each learner receives a high level of service alongside excellent training and education be it practical, classroom or online teaching. Based at our Duchy Stoke Climsland campus, we are looking for an individual to provide information, advice and guidance to support learners with making decisions about the next steps towards their career goals. Experience of supporting young people with SEND is essential for this role. As an extension to the Student Experience Team, the Careers Team are on hand to provide impartial guidance to support individuals with their next steps.
The role will be predominantly linked to working with 16-18 year olds studying at the Duchy Stoke Climsland campus, with the expectation that support for others is provided if needed. You will also be expected to work within the curriculum to enable the embedding of careers education, advice and guidance across all programmes based at Duchy Stoke Climsland as well as facilitate personal development workshops.
